Rowjielogy Presents Ep.14: Oh well, before anything else, I am already planning of adding an American Idol segment here in Rowjielogy since I am an avid fan of season 7, and I post blog entries about AI while the contest is on-going.
Anyway, I think Danny Noriega could have done something cool in the “Lennon/McCartney” week if he is still in the contest. I think these songs will really fit Danny’s way of singing - fun and entertaining.
Anyway, the AI stage is new and bigger. It seems like there is really something in this season of AI. I feel like there are more people watching it right now, as well as most of those who are in Top 12 are really talented and unique in their own ways. But of course, people will have their own bets.
I support Ramiele Malubay. Of course, because she has a Filipina blood. She has a good voice, and she got charisma. I am just disappointed sometimes with her song choices. She should choose songs that we don’t usually hear in singing competitions, as well as songs that can show her talent in singing. She sang “In My Life”, which for me, is not a good performance by her.
Week after week, I am starting to like Brooke White (especially after I watched her sang Love Is A Battlefield”. Brooke sings from her heart. We can feel her emotions when she sings. I like her humble past before joining the contest. And it seems like Brooke remains humble. She sang “Let It Be” with emotions, while playing the piano. I like the performance.
Sorry to all Syesha Mercado fans but I don’t like her, though I think she is really good. It seems like she is very confident about herself. Yah, she is good. But it is somehow tiring when only the “divas” win in a singing competition. I want to see someone new and different.
I find Amanda Overmyer good because I want to see her “rock performance” every episode. That’s something unusal that we’ll see in a singing contest. But I think she still has to prove more so that she can stay in the contest longer.
I don’t like Kristy Lee Cook’s performances. Period.
Carly Smithson… hmmm, I want to see a “wow” performance from her. I think she is the one who Simon is pertaining to, who is good but doesn’t pick the right songs. (As well as Ramielle) Comparing her to Kelly Clarkson last night, I think Simon loved her performance.
Now, the boys.
Michael Johns, I like his “Don’t Forget About Me” performance. But it seems like David Cook will outshine him. Their styles are the same in some ways, but I like David Cook more.
And speaking of David Cook, he already impressed me during the 60’s week. I always look forward to his performances - when he will make an alternative version of the songs he chooses. Pretty interesting.
Jason Castro is good sometimes, but I am not impressed with his performances.
Chikezie Eze is unforgattable because of his name. Some were impressed with his performance last night. I did not pay attention to his performance last night because sometimes, his performance is so typical that I don’t want to watch it. Well, maybe I’ll pay attention to his next performance. I hope he will be consistent already.
I am not a fan of Danny Archuleta but this boy really has the charisma. I think he’ll just have problems if he will choose the wrong songs. He is talented. I see him as an inspirational singer in the future. His “Imagine” performance before moved me. But his “We Can Work It Out” performance last night wasn’t good. It seems like it is not him.
I also don’t like David Hernandez’s performances. And speaking of him, he was the one who has been eliminated.
We now have the Top 11 of American Idol Season 7. I can’t wait for their next performances. This season is really a good one! (Not to mention, Danny Noriegas has been eliminated. How I wish he made it to the top 12 so that the competion will be more exciting).
