Launch Day
|
Hello there! As promised (it’s already been a month Rowjie!), I have to do some changes in my blog. I just been so busy lately that’s why I wasn’t able to implement the changes that I want. Actually, I was supposed to do something about summer but I don’t think I can still do it, since the month of May is already coming. Anyway, these are just little changes.
Anyway, just watch out for these departments soon here in Rowjielogy,
1. The New “Rowjiefully Yours”
2. Trip ( Which will celebrate it’s first year anniversary on May 18 )
3. Points Of View… Featuring the Ice Breaker Collection ( Points of View will celebrate it’s first year anniversary on May 9)
4. Kokology On Rowjielogy
5. Conversation With Myself
6. Topak
7. Pinoy Po!
Of course, I will still continue giving my opinions about American Idol Season 7, up to the finals on May 20, 2008. I’ll also try to watch Pinoy Idol. I haven’t watched an episode yet!
And I will like to give credit to my online buddy, Rob for his “Happy Blog” posts. According to his blog, posting 5 happy things a day will make us happier. Sounds interesting to me. I will try to have this one too in my blog (as much as I can). Hehe.
On May 8, 2008, I will be celebrating the 9th anniversary of where these all started… from my journal back in 1999, up to this blog. It’s so nice to reflect on how everything evolved. Did I evolve also? Haha… And in preparation of it’s 10th year on May 2009, I will have some special features about the different people that made a huge impact on me on the last ten years. Pretty exciting. Haha.
I will also have features regarding me and my family moving to our new house. I am really excited to move into our new house. But of course, it also makes me feel sad to leave our place where we live for more than 20 years. We will be moving by May 2008, or by June 2008. That’s near already.
My idol, Jason Mraz will release his album, “We Sing, We Dance, We Steal Things” on May 13.
Well, lots of plans. I hope I can do it soon. Hehehe…

Birthday Aftermath
|
My Life Ep.4: I’ve been really busy a lot and honestly, I don’t have topics in my mind to blog about lately. Well, it’s because I will be doing some changes in my blog very soon. I just don’t have time to sit down on it due to my hectic schedule even on weekends. But hopefully, I’d be able to do all the things I am planning this May.
Anyway, I just want to share to you how I spent my 23rd birthday. I am really thankful for my friends who don’t fail to greet me on my birthday every year. They might think that those are just simple greetings, but those greetings really mean a lot to me.
It was my first birthday in my present job that’s why I really did not have an idea how it will be on that day. I wished that my name will not be posted in the list of the birthday celebrators for the month of April. But of course, my name was there, that’s why my office mates became aware of that date. Gosh. I decided to have a little celebration in the office by buying some foods to share. And honestly, I really felt happy that day.
Of course, thanking the Lord was included in my plans on that day. I hurried up to Greenbelt Chapel after work. I dine out with a friend afterwards. I really had a great day then.
Sunday… My family went to Pink Sisters in Tagaytay. After that, I treated them for a very delicious lunch. My sister treated us desserts afterwards. It was a tiring day but it was fun.
Last Saturday, I treated my friends for dinner in SM Mall of Asia. We had a Korean food trip. Lots of food. Hahaha. Then we had videoke after.
That was how I celebrated my 23rd birthday. Actually, I’m not used to having a big celebration during my birthday. Having the people close to me remember my birthday is already enough for me. Honestly, I don’t care much about my age because I still feel childish sometimes, but not in negative ways. Hehe. I just really want a young and fun environment.

American Idol (Season 7): Top 6 Performance/Results Night
|
I am really busy at work this week that’s why I did not manage to post an entry about last night’s episode of American Idol. And maybe starting this week, I’ll just merge my “performance” and “results” night into one blog entry because Idol posts have been dominating my blog. Hehehe. Anyway, the finals is already near.
Last night’s episode is interesting to me. The Top 6 sang songs of Andrew Llyod Webber. You know… musicals… I think it’s a tough week and the contestants should pick the right song for them. It’s good that Lord Andrew did a good job as a mentor for the contestants. He really gave advices. He even asked Carly to change her song from “All I Ask Of You” to “Jesus Christ Superstar”. But I am somehow disappointed because nobody sang “All I Ask Of You”.
Anyway, as I said, I am really busy this week that’s why I wasn’t able to watch Syesha’s and Jason’s performances. But based on the recap of their performances, I think Syesha had a good performance last night. Lots of confidence. A performer. I am not a fan of Syesha but I think she did a good job. What I like about Syesha is that whenever she gives a not so good perofrmance, she will be back with a vengeance the week after. She sang “One Rock And Roll Too Many”.
Jason Castro sang “Memory”. I am sorry to all Jason Castro fans but I really get bored when he performs on the AI stage. I always want to see something new from him. I think that he might be in danger this week. Actually, I guess Jason will be the one eliminated this week.
Brooke White sang “You Must Love Me”, one of my favorite songs. Oh my… she forgot the lyrics. I don’t know if the people will still forgive Brooke this time around. If you remember what happend when she sang “Every Breath You Take”, she didn’t hit the right note. Like what I always say, what I like about Brooke is that she sings from the heart. I am somehow disappointed with her version of “You Must Love Me”. Maybe because I am comparing her version with Madonna’s version, which is a good one. I guess she might be eliminated tonight, but I really feel it would be the end for Jason.
David Arculeta sang “Think Of Me”. As usual, it was boring for me. But I think it was a good performance from him.
Carly Smithson sang “Jesis Christ Superstar”. She was supposed to sing “All I Ask Of You”, but Lord Andrew told her that it is not the song for her. And it was a good decision because the judges loved her performance. I think that Carly is getting better every week. I think she will stay in the competition the longest among the girls. (As of now)
David Cook sang “Music Of The Night”. Yah, I know many are disappointed because we thougt he will do another “rock version” of Lord Andrew’s songs. But he didn’t. It was a good song and I think David manage to perform it well. Actually it’s okay for me so that we can see how well-rounded David Cook as a performer. But it didn’t make a huge impact compared to his “Always Be My Baby” version.
And now, my fearless rankings…
1. Carly Smithson - I’ll give it to her this week.
2. David Cook
3. David Archuleta
4. Syesha Mercado - She had a good performance but I think she can’t still make it to the Top 3 tonight.
5. Brooke White - Might be in danger this week but I think Jason will be the one to say goodbye tonight.
6. Jason Castro - The competition is really getting tough. He should have impressed the judges and the audience.
I’ll be updating this blog entry for the results. To be continued…
